Couple years back everyone was talking about switching from vun to xuu,. Does is it worth it to switch to something like xuu? I plan on maxing out my tfsa in next 5 years.

Xuh has insurance against changes in the currency. Why stick with the s&p500 when you can get a cheaper total stock market etf by using xuu ? Switching from xuu to vun though would be stupid at this time, as you've already missed all that growth.

Keep in mind that xuu and xuu.u have different cusip numbers, so you can't buy in usd and then sell it for the cad$ equivalent.
In xuu, those smaller cap companies will count for a tiny fraction of a percentage compared to the largest cap ones which may count for as much as 5% in just one company. I have 31.5% in vun in my tfsa. Limit of 4 per customer.
